Earlier this month, Brian Head had the honor of hosting Utah State Senator John R. Curtis for a special visit focused on the future of our town and the surrounding region.
The visit brought together leadership from Brian Head Town and our sister city, Parowan, including Mayor Clayton Calloway, Town Manager Bret Howser, and representatives from the Brian Head Resort, Mountain Capital Partners, and the Dixie and Intermountain Forest Service teams.
Senator Curtis met with key stakeholders—including Brian Head Resort General Manager Tom Pettigrew, Mountain Capital Partners CEO James Coleman, Aspen Meadows President A. Flint Decker, and US Forest Service's Kevin Wright, and Chris Carlton—to discuss the needs, opportunities, and shared vision for Brian Head Town, Aspen Meadows, Parowan, Brian Head Resort, and the surrounding Dixie National Forest.
We’re grateful for Senator Curtis’s time and commitment to our community and proud to stand alongside local leaders and partners as we work together to support continued growth and stewardship in this incredible corner of Southern Utah.

These informative, scenic tours offer skiers and snowboarders an engaging way to learn about the ecology and geology of Brian Head Resort and the surrounding Dixie National Forest.
Tours meet at the base of the Giant Steps Express lift and run approximately one hour, conditions permitting. It’s the perfect way to combine spring skiing with a deeper connection to the landscape.
